The Vélez-Málaga City Council will reopen the public libraries of Vélez-Málaga, Torre del Mar and Caleta de Vélez to the public on Monday, although only the loan service and return of works and request for bibliographic information will do so. The study rooms will not be enabled, nor will it be possible to use computers or any other computer system that usually have common use.
Before opening, the spaces have been properly disinfected, hydroalcoholic gel dispensers have been installed, protective screens for customer service, areas not authorized for use have been cordoned off, information panels have been installed at the entrance with the measures hygienic-sanitary to respect and a space has been set up where the material returned by users will remain for 14 days, as a "quarantine", since its disinfection could damage the works. The Councilor for Culture, Cynthia García, recalled that the use of a mask in libraries will be mandatory, as well as respecting the social safety distance of 2 meters.
The established schedule for the collection and face-to-face delivery of works will be from 10:00 to 13:00. The hours for telephone attention will be from 9:00 to 14:00.
The City Council recommends contacting them by telephone before going to the library to make the reservation of the corresponding work and to be able to pick it up later. Only one user will be served per shift and children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Likewise, the toilets will not be open to the public and the use of the elevator will be limited to a single user, or several only in the case of being members of the same family.
