The El Posterito exhibition hall in Vélez-Málaga hosts a sample of the Malaga-born painter Fernando de la Rosa, entitled 'Transcurso', composed of 16 pictorial works and four sculptural works that can be visited from January 14 at 8:00 p.m., when the opening ceremony takes place, until next February 20.
The Councilor for Culture, Cynthia García, visited the exhibition a day before its inauguration and noted that during the past year the exhibition halls of San Francisco and El Cartel have housed around twenty samples that expand the cultural offer of the municipality and reaching all audiences, "being another attraction to enjoy our historic center and to attract visitors throughout the year and with which we are strengthening Vélez-Málaga as a city of culture."
The mayor of Veleña stressed that Fernando de la Rosa is a very dear person in Vélez-Málaga, a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Telmo de Málaga and curator of the Biennial of Art and International School of the Axarquía. The author links teaching with artistic creation.
Fernando de la Rosa explained that the exhibition is a grouping of two aspects, "one more bright, more summer and another dedicated to music and impressionist artists, where a symbiosis has been created between landscape, musical construction and plastic image" . The artist has dedicated some works to some authors such as Satie, with the intention of building a work that is sustained by a powerful plastic image.
According to the author, the exhibition 'Transcurso' dedicates the thought «as time goes by, a liberation since as it goes by we leave things behind and we see the light, which is the idea of ??many of these works, discover a bright path, ?added the author.
Despite developing his artistic activity primarily as a painter, Fernando de la Rosa has been trained in the field of engraving and printing, working different graphic techniques in different workshops. As a teacher and artist, linked from its beginnings to teaching, he has given talks, participated in theoretical-practical workshops and taught art education courses in collaboration with the Teaching Centers of Malaga and Axarquía.
