Nerja calls on the Commonwealth to end the beaconing of the beaches

The Councilor for Beaches, Francis Arce, has expressed his concern about the delay that the installation of the beaconing of the beaches is accumulating, a service hired by the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol Axarquía, which alleges delays in administrative procedures.

In Nerja, the maritime signaling of the bathing areas stretches for 8,100 meters with 31 buoys. The reserved bathing area is to be marked with a coastal strip formed by a series of buoys arranged 200 meters away, in a line parallel to the coast.

The councilor points out that "this summer more than ever people need security when they go to take a bath, and without beacons it is difficult to transmit that security, that is why I ask the Commonwealth for greater and better care" and does not rule out suggesting that in future seasons It is the City Council itself that assumes the beaconing and cleaning of the waters.
