Nerja City Council will adopt extraordinary fiscal measures against the coronavirus

Due to the exceptional situation generated by COVID-19, the Councilor for Economy and Finance of the Nerja City Council studies the adoption of extraordinary measures, in economic and tax matters, to alleviate the situation of sanitary and economic crisis in which we find ourselves. As a first measure, the invoice recognition and payment process has been accelerated, to enable collection by suppliers in the shortest possible time.

In addition, in compliance with the provisions of the Royal Decree declaring the state of alarm, no new tax payments will be issued during the time of the current state of alarm, except in cases where the taxpayer expressly requests it. , by phone or email. In that case, the voluntary payment period will extend at least until May 20, 2020, or the later date that results from the date of formal notification.

In the case of the voluntary payments that as of March 13 had already been started and had not ended, they are extended until April 30. If the notified payment letter has been fulfilled, the issuance of a new one will be requested by sending an email to tesoreria@nerja.es, identifying the taxpayer, tax and settlement number. On the other hand, the payment corresponding to April of the deferrals and installments already granted, as well as the settlements that are domiciled, whose expected day of collection was April 5, will be collected on May 5 without an increase in default interest.
