Nerja City Council has joined the celebration of International LGBTI Pride Day (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersexual) with the drafting of a manifesto that reaffirms its "commitment to equal treatment and opportunities as a fundamental principle " The text has been agreed by the main parties of the municipal corporation, PP, Psoe, Adelante and Ciudadanos, and read by their spokespersons.
The Manifesto proclaims: ?We strongly condemn any form of violence, which has its origin in sexual orientation and gender identity. We are committed to promoting measures that guarantee equality and respect for the LGTBI community. The Nerja City Council sympathizes with all the people attacked, belittled or discriminated in one way or another for their sexual condition or gender identity.
