The Christmas lighting, which is already being installed in the municipality, will be turned on next Sunday, December 1 and will remain until January 6, reports the Councilor for Popular Traditions, Elena Gálvez, which anticipates that of previous years, in addition to including novelties, such as the installation of illuminated Christmas trees in different areas of the municipality.
Specifically, the Plaza de España will have a tree of 14 meters, the Balcony of Europe one of 5 meters, as well as the Plaza de la Ermita, the Church Square in Maro and the neighborhood of the Poets. In addition, the town hall will have lighting on both facades for the first time.
Galvez has also explained that as is tradition, the entrances of Nerja and Maro, the main streets, squares and roundabouts of the municipality will have lighting with Christmas motifs. The Local Government Board has approved the award of the contracting of lighting the company Porgesa S.A. for a value of 114,345 euros.
