The Councilor for Seniors, Elena Gálvez, has presented the activities scheduled for the fourth edition of the Week of the Major, which will take place from next Monday, November 11, until Saturday 16, the day that closes with the delivery of diplomas and medals.
The activities will begin on Monday from 11 am with the opening ceremony at the Villa de Nerja Cultural Center. The commemorative Manifesto of the International Day of the Elderly will be held by the ?Nerjamar? and ?Marocueva? Associations. Then, the performance of the Coral Alminares will be given and subsequent inauguration of the photography exhibition ?Four generations of women?, carried out by Fotos Guerrero Studio.
The councilor has informed that the Week of the Major has a wide variety of activities, highlighting the presentation of the ?In Good Age? Active Aging Platform at the Nerja Museum on November 13 at 11.30 am, and the reopening of the Home and Maro Social Center on November 15 at 1:00 p.m., a highly demanded facility by the elderly in the district. In addition, guided visits to Malaga, the Fourth March of the Major to the Cave site, workshops, conferences, documentary screenings and a theater show will be held.
From the Department of the Elderly, everyone is invited to participate in this week that pays tribute to our elders, remembering that they can go to the Office of Attention to the Major, located on the ground floor of the City Hall, where they will receive more detailed information on the activities.
