Rincon de la Victoria celebrates the event 'Red Cross moves' to promote healthy lifestyle habits and sports practice

Rincón de la Victoria hosts the celebration of the 'Red Cross moves' event, which will take place next Tuesday May 21 at the Rubén Ruzafa sports hall in Torre de Benagalbón for the users of the collective services in the municipality, according to the informed the councilor of the area of ??Social Policies and Equality, Pilar Delgado (PP).

Cruz Roja and the company Oxygen Sports, in collaboration with the City Council of Rincón de la Victoria, organize this intergenerational sports event aimed at the beneficiaries of Red Cross services in Rincón de la Victoria, within its Physical Activity Program Healthy. «The objective of this initiative is the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits and enjoyment of the practice of sports in the municipality, where the participants will start in two new sports modalities: 'speed stacks' and 'spikeball'», points out the mayor.

The mayor of Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado (PP), stressed "the solidarity character of this day in which through sports healthy lifestyles are encouraged and a recreational and recreational participation atmosphere is created that serves as a support to people at risk of social exclusion ». In addition, the councilman has shown his gratitude to the Red Cross for the service provided in the municipality to the most disadvantaged groups.

The organization wanted to highlight and thank the collaboration of the Rincón de la Victoria City Council through its Sports APAL, as well as the different local companies that will cover all the needs raised for the development of this event.

The first of the activities, the 'speed stacks', is a sport of last generation that has different participation models, being able to "compete" individually, in pairs or teams. Each participant will have 12 glasses with which they will have to stack and unstack in pyramid shapes, according to different sequences of movement.

For its part, 'spikeball' is a modality similar to beach volleyball. Each team (composed of two people) has a maximum of three touches between them (without giving two simultaneous) to return the ball to the opposing team by bouncing on the net. The set that arrives before to the x points will be proclaimed winner.

The event will take place throughout the morning of Tuesday, May 21, at the facilities of the Rubén Ruzafa sports pavilion in Torre de Benagalbón, where participants will practice each of the activities planned from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm.
