The Nerja City Council has launched a campaign to promote local commerce, with the slogan "better closer, as always", with radio and television spots, as well as posters. The campaign is complemented by the edition of some "safe trade" stickers to be placed in the establishments of the municipality, remembering the basic health security measures.
With the launch of this campaign, to support and stimulate local and proximity commerce, one of the measures included in the Municipal Shock Plan against the coronavirus crisis, prepared by the Working Group formed by Popular Party, Forward, Citizens and Vox.
The Councilor for Commerce, Javier Rodríguez, points out the importance of revitalizing local commerce in order to face the economic crisis that has produced the health alarm, since it supposes job creation. "We have to make an effort to regain normality, always complying with established safety standards, and that normality happens because we return to our usual shops, bars and restaurants."
