The Councilor for Social Welfare of the City of Rincón de la Victoria and second deputy mayor, Elena Aguilar (Cs), has held a meeting with members of the Spanish Social Organization for Humanitarian Action (OSAH), in order to establish lines of action Social in the municipality.
Aguilar stressed that "from the municipal area we want to strengthen the associative fabric by collaborating with this entity and other groups of the municipality with the aim of developing social activities and programs that help people and families at risk of exclusion." Also, the mayor has highlighted "the important work of social cooperation that develops OSAH."
The president of the entity, Antonio José Paneque, has shown his willingness to collaborate with the City of Rincón de la Victoria, "supporting any municipal initiative and sharing resources to develop social activities in the municipality." Among the initiatives that the entity has underway are the Active and Healthy Aging Program for the Elderly, and the Solidarity Cabinets initiative, which make recycled clothing in good condition available to people at risk.
In this regard, OSAH has reported that in the last twelve months a total of 25,000 kilos of used clothing have been collected through the 22 containers that the organization has distributed throughout the municipality through an agreement with the City of Rincón de la Victoria.
