The Department of Culture of the City of Rincón de la Victoria has reported the creation of a space of cultural interest called 'November in black', enabled in the Public Library 'Antonio de Hilaria' which is available during this month with a selection of Black films and novels, as the mayor of the area, Clara Perles (Cs) has advanced.
The initiative called 'Center of Cultural Interest' consists of placing own bibliographic funds, press materials, audiovisuals and props on a subject related to the world of culture in a preferred place in the library with the aim of promoting reading between the users. The councilor of the area has explained that these spaces of cultural interest "encourage reading and allow you to discover books that are hidden among the library funds." Also, Perles has pointed out that "the theme selected for this month has been the black novel, due to the rise of the genre in the editorial and cinematographic world."
During November a total of 60 novels and 30 films of the black genre are exhibited in their different themes (intrigue, police, suspense, thriller, among others), which will be replenished depending on the withdrawal of books by users thanks to the Black catalog of the library, composed of 246 novels and more than 200 audiovisual pieces in the black and white cinema section. "The goal is to create a dynamic space where books have life," says the councilor.
In addition, the center of cultural interest located in the library hall also includes an informational brochure, photographs, and a list of black novels available in the library for loan. From the Rincon de la Victoria Library they have reported that the centers of cultural interest will continue in the coming months with 'Blank December', dedicated to Christmas; 'January in green', with themes such as health and sports, healthy cookbooks, hiking, natural medicine and yoga, and 'February in pink', dedicated to Valentine's Day.
It currently has fixed centers of interest for travel, self-help, cuisine and wines, which can be consulted from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Calle Ángeles Navas Atencia , Rincon de la Victoria.
