Public administrations continue to try to adopt measures to minimize the impact of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The tourism sector is one of the main pillars of the Malaga economy, which is why the Andalusian Government has launched various lines of aid and financing for companies worth almost 1.4 million euros in the province.
The territorial delegate of the Ministry of Tourism, Regeneration, Justice and Local Administration in Malaga, Nuria Rodríguez, held this Wednesday in Vélez-Málaga a meeting with businessmen from Torrox, Nerja and Rincón de la Victoria to whom she has detailed these new calls of aid from the Ministry for projects that improve the quality and competitiveness of mature destinations through new technologies. In the meeting, held in the Eastern Costa del Sol-Axarquía Association, in addition to the entrepreneurs, municipal representatives of the municipalities of the area have also participated.
"Right now we are aware that we must be at the side of those who create wealth in the tourism sector, so these grants come to give oxygen to companies that need the support of the Administration and to those who have a project and require a Impetus to start it », explained Rodríguez, who stressed the importance of digitization to improve the competitiveness of already mature destinations such as the Eastern Costa del Sol-Axarquía. The purpose of the aid is to help them have "an even higher quality and more competitive offer".
Specifically, these are three lines of aid that the Ministry led by Juan Marín has taken out and which, in total, for the province of Malaga, represent a game of 1,396,769 euros. The subsidies are aimed at both entrepreneurs (Emprentur modality); micro, small and medium-sized companies (Pymetur modality); and for projects that improve the quality and competitiveness of coastal destinations based on new technologies (mature destinations modality).
In the case of Emprentur, a game of 550,000 euros is planned in two annuities at the Andalusian level and 65,630 euros for the province of Malaga. The objective is the creation of companies or tourist activities. The maximum amount to be subsidized will not exceed 50,000 euros and the beneficiary will commit to maintaining the requirements, investments and employment for three years from the constitution of the company or the registration of the self-employed person. Eligible expenses range from the notary to computer equipment or furniture.
For the Pymetur modality, there is an investment of 2.4 million in two annuities and for Malaga the game reaches 293,750 euros. In this case it is aimed at companies in operation for the improvement, modernization and expansion of tourist establishments. The grant will have a ceiling of 200,000 euros and the beneficiary will commit to maintaining the requirements, investments and employment for three years.
Until August 3 and August 10
Both lines of aid may be requested at most until August 3. To these are added subsidies to Andalusian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and self-employed companies to promote competitiveness and the quality of the offer of mature destinations on the Andalusian coast through the implementation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and access to Advanced Support Services.
In this case, the amount at the Andalusian level will be three million euros, distributed 50% during 2020 and 2021. In the distribution by provinces, Malaga will have a game of 1,073,389 euros. SMEs located in Benalmádena, Mijas, Torremolinos, Estepona, Nerja, Torrox, Fuengirola and Rincón de la Victoria will be able to benefit from these grants. The grant will have a ceiling of 40,000 euros and the beneficiary will commit to maintaining the requirements, investments and employment for three years.
This line can be requested until August 10. The implementation of new technologies (ICT) that enable the creation or integration in marketing platforms and purchasing centers will be the object of a subsidy; ICT to promote electronic marketing of products and services; integration in the virtual tourist community; implementation of advanced management hardware or software or products based on technological innovation (augmented reality, guidance services with smart devices ...)
