Malaga. The territorial delegate of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development, Fernando Fernández Tapia-Ruano, announced yesterday in Pizarra that the Junta de Andalucía begins this Friday, October 16, the payment of the Common Agricultural Policy to Malaga farmers and ranchers with the payment of 50 million euros, an amount that corresponds to the advance of the direct payments of the CAP in the province. This is a 70% advance instead of the usual 50%, because the European Commission has authorized it, so that later, as of December 1, the remaining balance of direct payments is paid. In the Andalusian Community, the CAP advances will reach 850 million euros.
The territorial delegate expressed his concern about the loss of 9.8% of the funds of the Community Agricultural Policy in the multiannual financial framework of the European Union for the period 2021-2027, since this will mean, as he said, that farmers and Andalusian farmers receive 1,264 million euros less.
