The Councilor for Equality, Gema Laguna, has participated this morning in the Days of Rural Women Entrepreneurs, organized by the Association of Municipalities Costa del Sol Axarquía to celebrate the World Day of Rural Women, which is commemorated today, October 15. These conferences are focused on analyzing, debating, proposing strategies and lines of work focused on the role of rural women in Andalusia and are an opportunity to learn about other initiatives, discover entrepreneurial possibilities, share points of view, knowledge and concerns.
The conferences, which have been developed through the Zoom platform, have been presented by the vice president of the Commonwealth, Juan Peñas; the member of Training and Equality and Women, Aroa Palma; and the institutional spokesperson, Antonio Sánchez. Elisa Gómez Calvo, an artist from Aliaga, a town of 300 inhabitants of Teruel, who belongs to a rural mining platform and works in the forest fire prevention and extinction teams, has participated as a speaker. Also Almudena Martín Torregrosa, as a Rural Tourism entrepreneur, and Puri Toledo Núñez, as CADE Riogordo Technician, both from Periana.
