I step in front of the City Council of Vélez-Málaga in the case of little Carlota García Lara, the four-year-old girl who is waiting to be operated on after suffering septicemia that has caused necrosis in her limbs. The spokespersons for the four municipal groups with representation in the corporation, PSOE, GIPMTM, PP and Andalucía por Sí, have appeared at a press conference this Wednesday to show their ?absolute solidarity and support for the minor's family in these difficult moments that they are living; showing consensus and unity to put at their disposal what they may need from the City Council «.
The mayor, Antonio Moreno Ferrer (PSOE), together with the first deputy mayor, Jesús Carlos Pérez Atencia (GIPMTM), and the spokesmen of the PP and Andalucía por Sí, Francisco Delgado and José Pino, respectively, have ensured that the City Council will assume the cost of the surgical intervention to amputate and reconstruct his four limbs, which the family has decided to be performed by the prestigious Valencian surgeon Pedro Cavadas, at the Vithas 9 de Octubre Hospital in the capital of Turia. However, the family is still waiting to know the exact cost of the intervention.
Following the request for help through social networks and the media, in just 24 hours, the girl's parents, Jairo García, 29, and Marina Lara, 23, have already managed to raise the necessary money for transfer in a medical ambulance. "The municipal corporation wants to thank all the companies, businessmen, groups and associations that have contacted the City Council from the first moment to get involved and collaborate with the cause," they have stated from the Veleño Town Hall.
