Nerja, November 23, 2019.-
The Local Government Board has approved the proposal presented by the Councilor for Education, Gema Laguna, urging the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Andalucía and the Delegation of Malaga to urgently address the works and facilities requested by the CEIP San Miguel that, due to the seniority of the center, requires a comprehensive reform to solve its problems.
This proposal comes after the meetings held with the director of the educational center and the school board, where it was reported that since 2014 repeatedly, up to five times, they have sent writings to the Ministry of Education informing of the problems of center, without receiving an answer, explains the councilwoman.
Laguna also recalled that the Popular Party government group already in 2014, echoing this problem, adopted agreements both in the Government Board and in the Plenary of the Corporation warning of the situation and urging the regional administration to will urgently carry out these reforms, without receiving a response from the Ministry.
Last week, coinciding with the visit to our town of the Delegate of Education in Malaga, Mercedes García Paine, Gema Laguna explained the seriousness of the matter and the need to act both in the CEIP San Miguel and in the other educational centers of Nerja
