Rincón de la Victoria will welcome summer with the celebration of the Costa del Soul festival, a musical event that will bring together renowned artists of this genre, known nationally and internationally, such as Gibson Brothers, Marta High & The Soul Cookers, Shirley Davis & The Silverbacks, JP Bimeni & The Blackbelts, Javier Ojeda Soul Project, Aurora & The Betrayers, Ogun Afrobeat, The Agapornis, Juan Martin and Wasabi Cru.

The president of the Diputación and mayor of Rincón de la Victoria, Francisco Salado, together with the Culture deputy, Víctor González; the general director of Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, Arturo Bernal; the Councilor for Tourism of the City Council of Rincon de la Victoria, Antonio José Martín, Jesús Sánchez, representative of MAHOS, Sergio García, of the promoter Costa del Jazz and the singer Javier Ojeda, promoter of the initiative and one of the invited artists, have presented on Thursday the concerts that will be held in this municipality in the well-known Playa del Túnel from June 21 to 23, coinciding with the Summer Solstice and the Night of San Juan.

Salado has highlighted this cultural event "will be the most important this summer and that is already giving a lot to talk", so he has invited everyone to attend the festival. Ojeda, who has declared himself a true soul music fan, explained that this festival is a "spectacular opportunity to welcome summer with some of the best soul music made in Spain and abroad."

The free concerts will start at 8:00 p.m. On Friday, June 21, they will go through the Rincon de la Victoria stage located on Playa del Tajo to Wasabi Cru, The Agapornis and Aurora & The Betrayers; Saturday 22, Martha High & The Soul Cookers, Ogun Afrobeat and Shirley Davis & The Silverback; and on Sunday, June 23, Javier Ojeda Soul Project, Gibson Brothers and Julia Martín.

Benalmádena and Estepona

The residents of Rincon de la Victoria will be able to enjoy, therefore, this festival that will be simultaneously held in two other coastal municipalities, which is a unique opportunity to not only live music in a unique environment, but also to visit some sections of the Senda Litoral, the project of the Diputación de Málaga consisting of joining pedestrians through bridges or footbridges in areas where there is no promenade.

But the festival will also be held on the same day the Plaza de la Mezquita de Benalmadena (Arroyo de la Miel) starting at 8:00 p.m. and the promenade of Estepona (next to the monument of the Peseta), starting at 9:00 p.m. : 00 hours In short, three days, three simultaneous stages, a dozen international bands and 27 concerts.

The objective is for the festival to tour all the municipalities of the Litoral Path in successive editions, thus serving to increase the cultural offer of the province and, at the same time, for the tourist promotion of the Litoral Path and the municipalities it visits. Salado has also announced that thanks to the tourism and planning company Costa del Sol, dependent on the Diputación de Málaga, a group of specialized journalists will visit the festival so that as prescribers, promote in their publications the potential of the Costa del Sol in the field musical.

The project is coordinated by Javier Ojeda, Jesús Sánchez and Sergio García, partners of Costa del Soul, and by the promoter Costa del Jazz, which has extensive experience in this type of events since it has been organizing the Open Jazz Festival for years from Malaga. It is also promoted by the Diputación de Málaga, through the delegation of Culture and Tourism Costa del Sol, the sponsorship of Unicaja Bank and the collaboration of municipalities and associations of Hoteliers (AEHCOS), Hosteleros (MAHOS) and Chiringuitos ( Aeplayas).
