The bipartite government team of PP and PA of the City of Rincon de la Victoria announced Thursday that it will adapt the project of the future Periurban Park, located north of the school La Marina de Torre de Benagalbón, which has an area of ??80,000 square meters . The mayor of Rincon de la Victoria, Francisco Salado (PP), has held a meeting with members of the Mountain Club of the municipality to agree on a common environmental project that is integrated into the Periurban Park.
Salado highlighted "the interest of the project presented by the club, focused on four lines of action: outreach, awareness, training and environmental research, open to the public and that is positioned as a national reference for the format it presents." Also, the councilor said that "from this government we will continue to bet on the creation of open spaces for the enjoyment of our citizens."
The president of the Mountain Club of Rincón de la Victoria, José Carlos Cañas, has shown his gratitude for the welcome that the project has had, "which will serve to promote ecotourism, as well as for the training of the citizens of the municipality and the advice free to athletes from the world of mountain and nature ».
The enclosure contemplates different areas of investigation and interpretation with the creation of a Recovery Center of Reptiles and Amphibians to divulge, protect and study the different species; an Entomology Center (Insectarium) for the study of insects and pests; a Nursery type Nursery of Study, where the young people of the municipality in landscaping, gardening and ornamental production will be trained and a center of investigation and study of astrology to collect and to analyze the celestial phenomena.
On the other hand, mountain areas such as climbing walls for children and adults, zip lines, picnic area, a farm, a study garden, topiary area, recreation area and play areas will be enabled. In addition, the School will have free workshops on organic farming, recycling, composting, identification of species, botany, natural medicine or fruit growing, as well as different recreational activities for groups at risk of exclusion, both for children and adolescents and adults.
Funding for this project, which has a budget of 180,000 euros, is accommodated through EDUSI European Funds, which is part of the Strategic Plan of Rincon de la Victoria, being one of the proposals that was included in the participation phase of the plan itself that includes a series of actions for the rehabilitation of public spaces and the enhancement of the natural heritage (green and blue) through the creation of a large urban park that acts as the lung of the municipality becoming a differentiator and reference.
The Rincón de la Victoria Mountain Club was created in 2015 with the aim of safeguarding nature and disseminating values ??such as protecting the environment and health through different projects.
