The mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, held a meeting at the Town Hall yesterday with the president of the Association of Presidents of Communities of Urbanization Nerjeñas (APCUN), Keith Taylor, within the periodic meetings they have established to promote actions and projects aimed at improve Nerja and Maro. At the meeting they were accompanied by councilors of the Municipal Government, the executive committee of the Association and the Chief of the Local Police.
Armijo informed of the next meeting that will be held with the Secretary General of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía, to request the start of the procedures to modify the Decree of housing for tourist purposes, in order to facilitate registration, as It was approved by the Plenary of the Corporation last August.
Taylor transferred to the mayor his concern for the safety in roundabouts and crosswalks of our municipality, especially those located on the avenue of Ciudad de Pescia and the old N-340 as it passes through the urbanizations of Capistrano and Fuente del Badén. It was agreed to work jointly with the delegations of Infrastructure, Transportation, Security, Municipal Services, Gardens, and Local Police, with the collaboration of APCUN, to conduct a study and carry out actions for security, both shot and pedestrian.
In addition, the meeting informed about the works that the Ministry for Ecological Transition is highlighting different points of the municipality, with the objective of putting into operation the Integral Sanitation as soon as possible, and the situation of the water supply in some urbanizations was discussed. The possible location of new recycling containers was also analyzed.
