The City Council has completed the improvement works on the pavement in the Colinas area of ??the Port of Caleta de Vélez, an action that has been carried out through the Program for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment (PFEA), previously known as the Rural Employment Plan, and in which 124,000 euros have been invested.
The Councilor for Infrastructures of the Municipality of Vélez-Málaga, Juan García, who visited the works today together with the Deputy Mayor of Caleta de Vélez, David Segura, highlighted this action that has contemplated the renovation of a total of 570 square meters of steel, and that four officers and sixteen laborers have been employed there.
«With this action of the 2020 PFEA, added to those of 2019 and 2018, we have already renovated more than 1,500 square meters of new pavement in Caleta de Vélez, thereby improving the accessibility and mobility of residents, in addition to the regulation of road traffic ?, indicated García.
Segura, for his part, has stated that the works are to boost the local economy, since it has allowed the arrangement of several terraces occupied with tables and chairs by various establishments.
