The municipal plenary session of the Vélez-Málaga City Council will debate this Friday the allegations presented by the popular group to the ordinance that the bipartisan government team (PSOE and GIPMTM) presented last June with different measures that, according to they assured, would help the neighbors to alleviate the sharp rise that this year has experienced the receipt of the Real Estate Tax (IBI) after the elimination of aid to citizens, valued at four million euros, as a result of a court ruling.
The councilman of the PP Manuel Gutiérrez has described this ordinance as "a real joke of the neighbors" and one more example of the "disastrous" fiscal policy of the PSOE and GIPMTM, since, as he has stated, the measures contemplated in the document "They will hardly have an impact on citizens and will benefit very few neighbors." Thus, Gutiérrez has criticized, for example, that the bases propose to extend the rebates in the IBI to officially protected homes, "when there are no homes of this type in the municipality," he said, or that they want to subsidize the owners of properties linked to agricultural holdings, "of which there are on
As he has detailed, they also want to subsidize houses that have photovoltaic installations, "but they do not know how many there are and they cannot quantify the aid," the mayor of the PP has added; as well as to real estate linked to certain business activities, "but in this case a maximum limitation of 200 euros is imposed on such aid." ?This is the saving ordinance that the government team presented to us in June. Logically, in the PP we cannot agree with this joke and we have presented allegations, which unfortunately will be rejected in plenary session by PSOE and GIPMTM, "he lamented.
Gutiérrez has explained that in his allegations the PP requests to eliminate that limit of 200 euros to business real estate, "something that is not understood when we spent 3,650,000 euros in aid to citizens last year", and above all he insists for the umpteenth time in the need to urgently address the reduction of the tax rate, "a measure with which it would help all the neighbors."
The mayor recalled that the members of the popular group "have appeared on more than fifteen occasions requesting a review of the cadastral values ??or a reduction in the tax rate, we have presented innumerable proposals and the PSOE and GIPMTM have always refused, also having the impudence of blame the PP for the loss of aid to citizenship and that the residents of Vélez-Málaga have to pay practically the most expensive IBI in all of Spain ».
«Why haven't they taken measures like other municipalities have? Why do we pay more taxes than Antequera, Fuengirola, Estepona, Marbella or Benalmádena? Well, because here we have shrugged our shoulders, we have fallen asleep, and in the end the one that pays is the citizenship ", criticized Gutiérrez, who has urged the neighbors to" take note of who are those who vote against lowering the rate tax and, therefore, that they pay less IBI ».
