The Torrox City Council enables a new access to the Colina del Sol school to avoid crowds

The school year in Infant and Primary started last Thursday in the province and in the rest of Andalusia. Although the first cases of coronavirus have already occurred in some centers, such as Villanueva del Trabuco and the Malaga capital, the consistories and the Board continue to make an effort, together with teaching and non-teaching staff, to make the situation as bearable as possible, implementing all kinds of measures to prevent coronavirus infections.

Thus, one of the recurring measures is the creation of several entrances to the centers, to avoid crowds at the entrances and exits. In Torrox, the City Council has enabled a new entrance to the Colina del Sol school, as the center's management had demanded. In this way, it contributes to maintaining the 'Stable Coexistence Groups', avoiding with greater guarantees possible contact between students from different 'bubble groups'. As reported by the director of the school, Antonio Javier Ruiz Ortega, the access, enabled through the sports court, will be used for the entry and exit of fifth and sixth grade students.

The mayor of torroxeño, Óscar Medina (PP), recalled that the initiative is part of the campaign developed by the Consistory in coordination with the five Infant and Primary education centers of the Axarquia town to guarantee a return to the classrooms as much as possible safely possible "and in which we have not spared financial resources." José Manuel Fernández, representative of the City Council in the center, has wanted to value "the response capacity of the Consistory to execute this demand in record time."

As part of the campaign back to classrooms, the Torrox City Council has proceeded to distribute 2,000 reusable masks in schools, listed to prevent the exchange between students, outdoor disinfectant rugs and at the entrances of children's classrooms, as well as reinforcement staff both for cleaning the centers and for Civil Protection to regulate entry and exit, as reported a few days ago by the Councilor for Education, María Ángeles Ruiz (PP).
