They propose to install five breakwaters to end the loss of sand on the beaches

The Department of Environment of the City of Rincón de la Victoria has developed a basic study of dynamics of the coast to solve the problem that affects the municipality with the loss of sand by the storms. The work proposes to install five semi-submerged breakwaters, with a cost of 1.6 million euros.

The councilor of the area, Sergio Díaz (PP), explained that it is «the first study that is carried out to know the dynamics of our coast, which includes the beaches of La Cala del Moral, Rincón de la Victoria, Torre de Benagalbón and Los Rubios, with the purpose of proposing corrective measures to the problem of regression of the coast that has affected our beaches ».

The lines of action are the construction of five breakwaters, which would be developed in three phases: the first to the east of the Totalán river and to the west of the Santillán stream; a second west of the Granadillas stream and another in Los Rubios; and a third west of the Benagalbón stream.
