A marijuana laboratory has been dismantled by the National Police in Vélez-Málaga, in an operation that resulted in the seizure of 300 cannabis plants and the arrest of a 37-year-old man of Spanish nationality.
The investigation began as a result of an information received by the agents about the existence of a house in which they could grow cannabis, according to this Friday the police said in a statement.
After the investigations, police officers located a house in the neighborhood of Pueblo Nuevo de la Axarquía where the cultivation, preparation and distribution of marijuana was carried out.
Specifically, the person in charge was a neighbor of Vélez-Málaga who lived in another house nearby, but who used the house and had it conditioned as a laboratory for the indoor cultivation of cannabis sativa, and also, it was supplied with public electricity supply.
The agents made two records, and together with the 300 plants in different growth stages, necessary tools for the cultivation, collection, drying and distribution of the drug were seized.
The detainee, who has already been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority, was charged with the crimes of drug trafficking and electric power fraud.
