"These are some of the measures that we are going to implement from the government team to reactivate local commerce," said the mayor, Óscar Medina (PP). Together with the Councilor for Commerce, Sandra Extremera, they have reported on the restructuring of the Strategic Plan for Local Commerce in which the Council is working to minimize the economic impact of COVID-19 in the municipality.
Medina has stressed that the priority objective of the City Council after these two months of stoppage of commercial activity is "to support our entrepreneurs to boost the local economy." Along these lines, the 'Stay in Torrox' campaign was launched so that, parallel to the measures taken institutionally, create awareness among the residents of the importance of local consumption.

The mayor of Commerce recalled that the City Council was a pioneer with the launch in 2017 of 'Torrox Experience 360º' and that it will now be enriched by including local businesses, which will be geolocated and will be linked to your page and social networks to, later, to be able to make it interactive and learn about the services and promotions they offer.
Within this Local Trade Plan, the Local Trade Table will also be created, in which businessmen will have a voice, and at the same time an information point will be created for businesses where they can learn about the aid and support measures that are adopted. from the consistory itself and from other administrations.
