Torrox has been one of the ten municipalities of Malaga selected in the second edition of the 'Bootcamps' of the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge, Business and University to reduce the digital divide. For his part, Paola Moreno, Councilor for Finance and Personnel at the Torroxeño Consistory, has specified that these are face-to-face and virtual training processes, lasting three months, that provide participants with tools and mechanisms to address the intelligent transformation of its local entities based on the 'Local Strategy of Smart City in Andalusia' as a frame of reference for the development of particular strategies.
With this initiative of the Ministry of Economy, co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds, the management model of the municipalities will be allowed to evolve and, with this, improve the quality of life of its inhabitants, while at the same time promoting new economic opportunities. and employment. In this training program, the participating entities, through a guided methodology, draw a roadmap to follow according to the vision or model of smart city that is intended to be developed.
